Description

The small group Golden Circle tour and a Blue Lagoon bathing experience are the ultimate treat, ending the day with a Northern Lights hunt! The tour is operated on minibusses led by an experienced driver guide, so you travel in comfort in a small group while enjoying the highlights of the famous Golden Circle.

You will explore Thingvellir National Park, a historic and geological landmark and UNESCO heritage site — home of the world’s first parliament and the best place on earth to view the North Atlantic Divergent Ridge. The Geysir area comes next with its geothermal wonders: feel the heat in the ground, breathe the sulphuric steam and watch the spectacular eruptions of Strokkur.

Next is Gullfoss waterfall, considered the most beautiful of Iceland’s 30,000 waterfalls, followed by Kerið crater, a striking crater lake surrounded by stark black and deep red slopes. At the Blue Lagoon you’ll enjoy bathing in the relaxing geothermal waters before heading back to Reykjavík. After a brief break in the city, you are picked up again for a Northern Lights expedition with one of our experienced aurora hunters.

Why I recommend this tour 🧡

This is Iceland’s greatest hits in a single day — the Golden Circle by daylight, a soak in the Blue Lagoon, and the hunt for the Northern Lights after dark. If you only have one big day here, it’s hard to pack in more magic than this.

Frequently asked questions

Full refund & cancellation policy

Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before departure for a full refund. Cancellations made later, or no-shows, are non-refundable.

Does this tour run in winter?

Yes — the tour operates year round. In winter we adapt timing to the daylight and conditions, and winter often adds a real chance of catching the Northern Lights.

How many travellers are in each group?

We keep groups small for a more personal experience — you are never lost in a big crowd, and there is always time for questions and photos.

I can’t find my hotel on the pickup list

If your accommodation is not listed, choose the nearest bus stop or landmark, or contact us and we will help arrange the closest pickup point.

When does the pickup start?

Pickup usually begins around 20–30 minutes before departure. Please be ready and visible at your pickup point at the start of the window.

What should I wear and bring?

Dress warmly in layers with a waterproof jacket and sturdy shoes — Icelandic weather changes fast. Bring a camera and any personal snacks or water.

Is there free WiFi on board?

Most of our vehicles offer free onboard WiFi so you can stay connected and share your day as it happens.

How long do we stop at each sight?

Stops vary by location, but you will always have enough time to explore, take photos and enjoy each site at a comfortable pace.
